What makes our vacation cottage different from other rentals? Privacy, serenity and wildlife!

Phoebe’s Patience is a single-family vacation rental house with comfortable accommodations, located within the southern-most edge of New Hampshire’s White Mountains and bordered by the Lakes Region. No other homes are visible from our house, although others are relatively nearby. This is our personal vacation home that we gladly share with others who will respect the building, property, and wildlife. This 105-acre property has two year-round brooks complete with native brook trout, as well as several spring-fed vernal pools. The variety of wildlife is simply stunning. If you are quiet and stay still, you can enjoy the animals going about their business – moose, weasels, white tail deer, porcupines, and more. The bird watching is phenomenal, with warblers galore, wild turkeys, grouse, woodcock, bluebirds, nighthawks, etc. This property is a nature lover's paradise!

Lovely views of Tenney Mountain ski area (10 minutes away) are visible from in back of the house. A windfarm was installed on Tenney Mountain last year which those of us interested in conservation applaud.

The property has over seven miles of marked hiking trails for your enjoyment. To see a map of our trails, click here (opens in new browser). The entire boundary of the property is marked so you can hike to your heart’s content without fear of getting lost! Phoebe’s Patience is for those who wish to relax, enveloped by nature’s bounty, yet have easy access to the amenities of a town. The surrounding area is defined by Plymouth, the quintessential New England village and Campton, a more rural area. You can take advantage of the youthful atmosphere of a college town replete with nice restaurants, coffee bar, bookstore, gift shops, and even a town square. Or, you can enjoy the slower pace of a quiet New Hampshire township by wandering the back roads of Campton. Access to our cottage is quick and easy from I-93.
